Aerial classes for Home Ed Students

We’re really excited to be able to offer classes for Home Ed students in our brand new studio in Woolmer Green from September 2021. Classes will be a mix of aerial poses and flows together with aerial hammock moves and sequences. We’ll be focusing on moving our bodies with purpose to create shapes and postures in the air.

The aerial hammock is a big focus in Rachel's classes as it's such an accessible piece of equipment. It develops strength, coordination, balance and flexibility and is an excellent starting point for other aerial skills. There are no prerequisites and we can lower the height of the hammock so it’s achievable and purposeful.

For children with autism and sensory needs, the hammock also offers a safe, tactile space to move and mobilise with the extra benefits of the sensory feedback from being enveloped in the fabric. Please see this page for extra information on Aerial for Austim and SPD.

Rachel will be offering classes in a new purpose built studio for small groups of friends (maximum of 3), as well as offering individual and sibling sessions. Take a look at our gallery for peak in the new studio.

Sessions can involve a variety props to encourage young aerialists to develop grip , core strength and co-ordination to move around the equipment in a fun and supportive way.

For older children we'll focus on individual poses and sequences, and there's always the challenge of trapeze, hoop and silks if tempted!

I also run family sessions and parent and child sessions for when adults want to join in the fun!

I teach (mainly) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays - please contact me to book.
